On December 2, 2019 Executive Director, Erica Halada was presented with a $10,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Toledo to aid in ensuring more pre-schoolers are tested for lead poisoning.
A few highlights:
- 650 students within the district were tested for lead poisoning during the 2018-2019 academic year.
- Amy Allen – TPS Transformational Leader of Early Childhood and Special Education – estimated that 325 students have been tested so far this academic year with results pending.
- We are thankful for the Rotary Club’s willingness to partner with the district and are happy to be advocates for the partnership.
