The Creative Impact Grant Program of the Toledo Public Schools Foundation is designed to enable teachers to bring innovative and exciting ideas, techniques and resources into the classroom.

Toledo Public School teachers, administrators and student groups (under teacher supervision) may apply. All grant requests will be reviewed by an Allocation Board.

All subject areas are eligible. Projects that require large equipment purchases must show how the equipment will be used as part of the total course of study.

Grants may compensate experts who come to work with students, but will not pay teachers or staff members. Grants may not be used for teacher release time.

Criteria used to select projects for funding:

• Are the program funding requirements available from the traditional sources of funding earmarked for classroom instruction?
• Are the concepts, content and activities of the project unique and novel? are they in some way related to the broader educational programs of the district?
• Are there sufficient numbers of students impacted to justify the expenditures associated with the project? are the learning outcomes (results) clearly defined and measurable?
• Is there a description of the direct relationship between the project and the school curriculum?

PLEASE NOTE: Toledo Public Schools Foundation Grants generally do not fund classroom sets of novels, consumable workbooks or costs associated with classroom field trips.
