On September 17, 2018 Toledo Public Schools Foundation hosted an appreciation event for Medical Mutual of Ohio for giving a gift of $450,000 to the children of Toledo Public Schools. At the event Toledo Public Schools Foundation received the final disbursement of a three year commitment, $150,000. “Medical Mutual is appreciative of its relationship with the school system and is inspired by the positive energy and momentum demonstrated by the administration, staff and students and the outstanding work being done by the Foundation”, noted Frank Bloomquist, Regional VP of Medical Mutual of Ohio.
This significant investment allowed for the foundation to re imagine its strategy and partner with the school district in a more impactful way than ever before.With rapid social change, increased diversity, and demands for accountability the makeup of the education landscape has changed dramatically. Schools in America are facing increasing demands while seeing a decrease in resources. Public sources are simply not enough to provide the resource base necessary to create and operate the schools of the future. Together we are connecting philanthropy and education by actively reaching out to the community to invest in the future, our children.
