Community Generosity at Work
Philanthropy continues to shape what’s possible for Toledo’s public schools. This year, Dr. Tom and Betsy Brady made a transformational $1 million gift to establish the Brady Educator & Social Services Academy, opening in 2026 at the Scott Park Campus. This new academy will prepare the next generation of educators and community leaders through hands-on learning, mentorships, and pathways to careers.
DeVilbiss High School alumni also stepped forward to make a lasting difference by creating the Tiger Legacy Fund, which is supporting a new Wellness Room in partnership with the SMARTS student group. This calming space will give students a place to recharge, reflect, and find balance during the school day.
A Shared Commitment to Toledo’s Future
Thanks to the generosity of donors, business partners, and alumni, more than 20,000 students were empowered through scholarships, teacher grants, and enrichment programs this year. Together, we’re proving what’s possible when a community invests in its schools — and in every student’s future.
“Quality education is the foundation of a thriving community, and our supporters make that possible,” said the TPS Foundation team. “Every contribution directly impacts students and classrooms right here in Toledo.”
