Thank you for taking the time to read our Foundation Highlights, where we want to share with you some of the incredible things happening within the district and Foundation! The end of 2021 proved very busy as we launched our Write The Future – Major Gifts Campaign along with maintaining our Annual Campaign and ALL-IN TPS Staff Campaign!
Today I wanted to share with you some incredible things that happened thus far in 2022:
·The Creative Impact Grant recipients for the 2021-2022 school year were announced
·Hockey Helping Heroes along with the TPS Foundation held the inaugural Toledo Memorial Classic where all funds went to the TPD Fallen Officer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
·Medical Mutual donated $300,000 to our Annual Campaign with some of those funds going towards our Major Gifts Campaign.
·The first TPS Alumni Connections event was held at TOLHouse.
·Not to mention, our Class of 2022 scholarship application closed in February, and those applications are now under review by our incredible scholarship committee.
Creative Impact Grants
We are so excited to begin announcing our Creative Impact Grant recipients for the 2021-2022 school year! We wanted to share some stats and send a huge thank you to the recipients who attended the TPS Board meeting in January as well. Toledo Memorial Classic
Over $13,500 raised for the TPD Fallen Officer Memorial Scholarship Fund! Hockey truly is a sport that brings a community together. Thank you to the Toledo Walleye for hosting us!
Special thanks to the Toledo Police Department & Columbus Division of Police for all of your support in helping make a difference. All Officers donate their time and money off-duty to support these charity games. Click here to learn more about the TPD Fallen Officer Memorial Fund.
Medical Mutual Invests $300,000 with Toledo Public Schools Foundation
The Toledo Public Schools Foundation (TPSF) is pleased to announce a $300,000 gift from Medical Mutual of Ohio. This investment will further the TPSF commitment to producing college and career-ready students at TPS through the Foundation’s annual campaign and the Write the Future Campaign. Toledo Public Schools Alumni Connections
The TPS Foundation held the first TPS Alumni Connections event on Thursday, February 24th, 2022 at TOLHouse in Downtown Toledo. Although the weather was looking not great for that evening, we were thrilled with the attendance.
We were honored to have Dr. Romules Durant, CEO and Superintendent of Toledo Public Schools and Waite High School Alumni, who spoke about various plans within the district and Foundation. Lance Price Jr., Rogers High School Alumni, was also a guest speaker who spoke on his experience at Toledo Public Schools and how his time at TPS helped him get to where he is today.
